Jessi Lawson

Jessi Dore' Lawson is originally from Minneapolis but currently resides in Las Vegas,NV. She has had an interest in the arts for as long as she can remember and always aspired to be a professional artist.Even at the tender age of three she remembers painting along side her mother.

While in High School she attended special college level courses in conjunction with her high school art classes. After graduation she gained immediate entrance to the Laguna College of Art and Design on a paid scholarship. Here she studied classical master techniques along with contemporary ideas to create a new and innovative style. Jessi attended LCAD for 3 years majoring in Illustration. Prior to entering her senior year she transferred to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she continued her studies to obtain a Bachelors of Fine Art.

Jessi began working with oil paint about six years ago and it is now her primary medium. Her art is inspired by everything from antique circus memorabilia, old toys, tattoo iconography, vintage horror flicks to music and literature,but her work is most strongly influenced by the 1920's-1030's and all in between. Now at the age of 23, she devotes herself to taking acre of her family and painting full time. Her work can be seen at galleries through out the US and abroad.
